Skytrek Paragliding Pty Ltd commenced operation in 2006 and is based in Melbourne Australia. The company is owned and operated by 3 friends who wanted to make paragliding and powered paragliding less costly and thus more available to everyone. The three friends are Kirk Syme, David Riddell and Stephen Sherar. We all started hangliding in the 1980's and began paragliding in the 1990's. We have a total of over 60 years of flying experience between us. This experience includes powered and non powered hangliding and paragliding. We were all attracted away from hangliding by the ease and family friendly nature of paragliding, and in 2006 decided that powered paragliding was the way to go. We all have families and understand that time and money can be in short supply for the sport that we all love, so as part of the answer to this problem Skytrek Paragliding Pty Ltd was formed in 2006 with the aim of reducing the cost of Paragliding and Powered Paragliding.
